Ovation CCO26 Celebrity Reviews 5

I traded in my old full body dreadnaught for this ovation because I'm getting into doing more home recording. Paid $275 at Guitar Center in Natick, MA minus my trade-in.

I love the thin neck and playability. The action on this particular guitar is incredible. And, it has that unique ovation sound. The solid top really makes it ring. The battery is also right on top of the guitar for easy access. All of my previous acoustic electrics had the batteries inside the body of the guitar.

The thin body and composite back sometimes makes it hard to play sitting down, the guitar tends to slip.

This model is made in Korea, but appears to be great quality. The main feature being it has a solid spruce top...giving it great sound. Has a three band equalizer, treble, bass, gain. And, a battery led to let you know when the battery is low.

The ovation has a unique sound and feel. You need to really like these features because they are very different from traditional acoustics. I read someone say that "Ovations are acoustic guitars for electric guitar players". But, if it's what you like, you can't beat the quality and price.
